Working towards University Industry Linkages

School of Food and Agricultural Sciences at UMT believing in its vision of University-Industry linkages. We therefore organized a study visit to Textile Testing Laboratories (TTI) on 06/05/2019 with its MS Food Science and Technology students for developing a better exposure and understanding of Food Quality parameters and the challenges related to Food Safety & Quality.  Students had a first-hand experience on working methodology of high precision equipment. They were also enlightened about current issues in industries, acceptable certification bodies, problems in development of halal accreditation in Pakistan, food adulterants and heavy metal contamination in vegetables and drinking water. SFAS believe in bridging the knowledge gap by coordinating with related stakeholders.
