Waqas Asghar completed his Master of Food Studies and Master of Agricultural Studies qualifications from the University of Queensland, Australia in 2011 and 2013 respectively. Currently working as Lecturer, Waqas joined UMT in January 2018, and since then, has taught a variety of courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. His research interests include various aspects of human nutrition, community nutrition, policy formulation, nutritional epidemiology, food fortification, and infant and young child feeding (IYCF) practices, micronutrient and macronutrient deficiencies, as well as food bioprocessing and sustainable development. Waqas also frequently works as a reviewer for Nutrition and Health (SAGE Journals).
