The School of Food and Agricultural Sciences (SFAS) has organized a one-day seminar on the 16th of October 2021. The aim is to promote awareness regarding the need to ensure food security and a nutritious diet for both the developed, as well as the underdeveloped countries of the world.Every year on the 16th of October, World Food Day is celebrated to commemorate the founding of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations in 1945. As an organization, FAO leads international efforts in terms of combating hunger, achieving food security, and improving nutrition. The educational institutions and other organizations the world over celebrate this day to remind us that there is a perpetual need to ensure that everyone worldwide has access to safe, affordable, and nutritious food at all times, to live a healthy, contented life. Lets spread the awaireness through our actions by following the 2021 theme of World Food Day “Our actions are our future- Better production, better nutrition, a better environment and a better life,”
