Introduction Road Map
The Ph.D. program in Food Technology at SFAS has been designed for individuals with a desire to gain more comprehensive research and academic experience in domains associated with food science and technology. The Program is primarily aimed at the provision of an appropriate framework that can suitably equip research professionals with tools and techniques for carrying out scientific research projects, and development of technological expertise focused on the improvement of the quality, as well as the safety of food processes, and ultimately, the food products.
Admission Requirements:
- Minimum CGPA 3.0 (out of 4.0 in Semester system) or first division in the Annual System in MS Food Technology, Agriculture Food Technology, Food Science and Technology, Food Quality Management, and Food and Nutrition.
- GAT subject test should be cleared with a 70% or UMT entrance test with 70% marks.

Total Credit Hours of the Program:
- 18 credits for course work
- 27 credits for thesis work
