Introduction
The School of Food and Agricultural Sciences (SFAS) is going to launch the Associate Degree Program (ADP) in Food Science and Technology with the aim to generate knowledgeable graduates capable in the field of food sciences, which can be applied in the community and the food industry. The program will comprise of two years (04 semesters) with 72 credit hours. This program will provide the students with a strong comprehension of all aspects of food processing and food product development that are aligned with the latest processing and analytical techniques along with the basic knowledge of current food laws and regulations.
The ADP is aimed at offering the opportunity to provide the most complete educational experience in the domain of Food Science and Technology to the students. The program will emphasize to tailor the professional trainings for our graduates. The proposed program will offer the opportunities to learn and get trained from a diverse faculty at SFAS. The program will be helpful in developing technical skills to ensure the safety and quality of food products keeping in view the food laws and regulations.
Eligibility Criteria:
- 12 years of formal education
- F. Sc (Pre-medical/Pre-engineering)
OR
- 2.00 CGPA in F. Sc Agriculture/Agricultural Sciences (Semester System)
- UMT entrance test (50% marks)
