This research-based MS Human Nutrition and Dietetics (approved by HEC) has been designed to strengthen the knowledge and skills related to Human Nutrition and Dietetics in accordance with the recommendations and prerequisites put forth by the Higher Education Commission, Pakistan., Department of Human Nutrition and Dietetics, School of Food and Agricultural Sciences will provide more hands-on experience for students in lab equipment and research approaches to design innovative strategies for facing the challenges related to nutrition and dietetics along with the provision of practically-applicable solutions. This is the key to success and most of the students do believe in practical knowledge rather than theoretical.
Impact of the Program on the Community, Society and the Country:
The proposed Master of Food and Nutritional Sciences Program will produce graduates with a background in nutrition and food science who will be well-prepared to join the occupations including research, teaching and clinical sides in research institutions, universities/colleges and hospitals/private nutritional clinics. The graduate will also be able to serve as community education officers, health-promoting specialists, and nutritional therapists in various public- and private-sector organizations who are working to promote the cause of nutrition in the country.

- BS/B.Sc (Hons) Human Nutrition & Dietetics,
- Doctor of Dietetics and Nutritional Sciences (DDNS)
- MBBS with 1 Year Post Graduate Diploma in Nutrition (Maximum Seats: 5)
- BS/B.Sc. (Hons) Food Science and Technology/Food Science,
- B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture (specializing in Food Technology)
- BS Home Economics (Food and Nutrition)
- Graduate Assessment Test (GAT)/Graduate Record Examinations (GRE)/UMT entry test
- Admission interview by UMT Graduate Admissions Committee
