The BS Agribusiness Management Program is aimed at offering the opportunity to provide the most complete educational experience in the domain of managing the agribusiness-related risks, policy, law and culture. The program will emphasize on tailoring the research and professional trainings for our graduates. The program will also be helpful in developing the understanding for the optimum solutions related to agribusiness problems and how government, business and non-profit institutions participate in designing the solutions in context of the agribusiness challenges. Moreover, this program will provide graduates with advanced knowledge and in-depth understanding of agribusiness management, thereby training them in terms of analyzing/understanding the emerging business issues in the domain of agriculture and disseminating knowledge to stakeholders through community participation and outreach activities. This program will promote entrepreneurship among students through discovery, innovation and competition.
Impact of Program on the Community, Society and the Country: The proposed Agribusiness Management Program will produce graduates with a strong knowledge and skills to manage the agribusiness issues in the changing environment. The graduates will be well-prepared to assess the agribusiness policy and global business challenges by integrating the small-scale farmers into markets so that they can make the agricultural sector stronger. These professionals can join the occupations including research, teaching and business research institutions, universities/colleges, banks, agriculture department, food industry and research officers in different fields working on agribusiness issues and management in Govt., public and private sector at national and international levels. The graduates will also be able to serve as agricultural analysts, crop producers, market analysts, agri-business marketing coordinators, quality controllers and farm appraisers.
