Introduction

The MS Advanced Food System program is designed to provides a comprehensive understanding of food science, technology, and sustainability. Students will explore advanced topics in food processing, safety, nutrition, and innovation, while developing skills in managing and optimizing modern food production systems. The curriculum emphasizes research, problem-solving, and the application of cutting-edge technologies to address global food challenges.

To educate and empower students with the knowledge and skills needed to advance and sustainable food systems. We prepare graduates to lead with innovation, ethical responsibility, and research-driven solutions to global food and agricultural challenges.

  • Evaluate the interconnections between food production, processing, distribution, and consumption within local and global food systems
  • Demonstrate knowledge of sustainable food system practices and their impact on food security and environmental sustainability
  • Apply advanced technologies and data-driven approaches to enhance food system efficiency, traceability, and resilience
  • Critically assess national and international food policies, regulations, and trade agreements influencing food system sustainability and safety
  • Develop strong research and communication skills for scientific writing, policy advocacy, and knowledge dissemination in the food sector

Impact of Program on the Community, Society and the Country

The Master of Advance Food System Program will produce graduates with a background in food processing and system who will be well-prepared to join the occupations including research, teaching and analytical sides in research institutions, universities/colleges and food processing industries. The graduate will also be able to serve as community food system officers, health-promoting specialists and quality control analyst in various public and private-sector organizations who are working to promote the cause of food processing in the country.
