Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

  1. To provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the principles of agricultural sciences and pertinent technologies.
  2. To equip students with knowledge of modern agricultural practices in relevant domains such as crop production, pest management, and farm management.
  3. To develop students' practical skills in conducting research and analyzing problems related to agricultural at the field and lab levels.
  4. To prepare students for competent roles in agriculture through effective communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
  5. To equip students with ethical and sustainable practices related to agricultural production and food security.
  6. To ensure that graduates can respond to emerging issues in agriculture such as climate change, food safety, food security and the efficient use of resources in agriculture.

Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs)

  1.  Demonstrate agricultural systems, sustainable practices, and the relationship between agriculture, food security, and the environment.
  2.  Apply scientific methods to investigate problems and contribute to solving complex issues in agricultural systems.
  3.  Design experiments, analyze data, and draw conclusions to improve agricultural practices.
  4.  Implement pest control, soil fertility, landscaping and water management systems effectively in agricultural production.
  5.  Compare agricultural policies, practices, and their regional impact on food systems.
  6.  Integrate modern agricultural technologies and practices to enhance productivity and sustainability in farming systems.
  7.  Identify the economic, environmental, and social impacts of agricultural systems and make informed decisions for sustainable agricultural practices.
  8.  Develop agricultural enterprises, focusing on business aspects like marketing, finance, and resource management.
  9.  Apply ethical and professional standards in agricultural research and practice, demonstrating respect for biodiversity and promoting sustainable food production.
