Program Goals
To equip graduates with comprehensive knowledge of human nutrition, including the role nutrients play in regulating health, growth, and disease, as well as the application of principles of dietetics across the lifespan.
To develop graduates' capabilities for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nutrition care plans and public health interventions through evidence-based professional practice.
To foster competence in clinical, community, and food service settings by ensuring graduates acquire the skills necessary for effective practice in diverse professional environments.
To promote ethical, culturally sensitive, and client-centered care for addressing the nutritional needs of individuals and populations from diverse backgrounds.
To enhance graduates' ability to analyze nutrition-related health data through research, data interpretation, and informed decision-making in clinical and public health settings.
To prepare graduates for supervised practice, professional certification, graduate studies, and leadership roles through career readiness support and lifelong learning.
Program Objectives
PO1:
Apply evidence-based nutrition science principles to assess, develop, and implement nutrition programs aimed at improving public health.
PO2:
Analyze social determinants of health and advocate for policies that promote equitable access to nutritious food and health resources.
PO3:
Integrate epidemiological, behavioral, and environmental approaches to prevent and manage nutrition-related public health challenges.
PO4:
Collaborate with stakeholders to design, implement, and evaluate community-based nutrition interventions tailored to diverse populations.
PO5:
Demonstrate ethical and professional leadership by upholding public health standards, exhibiting cultural competence, and communicating effectively with various audiences.
PO6:
Utilize quantitative and qualitative research methods to collect, analyze, and interpret data for informed decision-making in public health nutrition.
PO7:
Develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills necessary to pursue careers in public health nutrition or advance to graduate education in related fields.
