MS Human Nutrition Dietetics
The mission of the MS Human Nutrition and Dietetics program is to prepare competent and research-oriented professionals who apply scientific knowledge and ethical practice to improve health outcomes, advance nutrition science, and promote sustainable well-being.
Program Objectives
- Provide graduates with advanced knowledge and in-depth understanding of food, nutrition, and dietetics
- Integrate research into curricula for the advancement of knowledge related to food, nutrition, and dietetics
- Prepare students to access nutritional deficiencies through advanced nutrient profiling
- Train young graduates to serve for analyzing and accomplishing the nutritional needs of urban and rural communities in relation to food products

- Apply scientific thinking and advanced knowledge within the disciplines of food and nutritional sciences
- Understand the advanced concepts related to the chemical properties and functionality of different food ingredients
- Understanding the advanced mechanisms of nutrients and their interaction in metabolic processes
- Understanding the concepts of lactation biology and the physiological basis of breastfeeding
- Design evidence-based nutrition interventions for the prevention and control of diet-related chronic diseases
- Develop research proposals, conduct research, interpret, and report research results
