SFAS Anthropometry and Nutrition Laboratory

SFAS Anthropometry and Nutrition laboratory is fully equipped facility designed to conduct precise anthropometric and nutritional assessments in alignment with international health and nutrition standards. The laboratory supports both academic learning and applied research, ensuring high-quality data collection for studies involving human growth, nutritional status, and body composition.

Capabilities

  • Anthropometric measurements including height, weight, BMI, MUAC, and skinfold thickness
  • Body composition analysis using fat analyzers and calipers
  • Hemoglobin and blood glucose level estimation
  • Monitoring of physical activity using pedometers
  • Data analysis for nutritional assessment and health research projects

Operational Standards

All measurements are conducted following standardized operating procedures (SOPs) based on WHO, CDC, and NIH guidelines. Regular calibration, maintenance, and documentation ensure data reliability and instrument accuracy.

Collaboration and Services

The SFAS Anthropometry and Nutrition laboratory is open for research collaborations and consultancy services. Customized nutritional assessment projects can be designed and executed in partnership with academic institutions, hospitals, and industry stakeholders.
