SFAS Food Processing and Preservation Laboratory

SFAS also has a well-equipped, advanced Food Processing and Preservation laboratory. This lab serves as a hub for undergraduate and postgraduate research, innovation, and product development in the areas of food preservation, value addition, and food shelf-life enhancement.

Capabilities

  • Development and optimization of food processing techniques
  • Preservation and shelf-life studies of various food items using preservation methods
  • Technical assistance in product formulation and process standardization
  • Conducting collaborative research projects in food processing, preservation, and quality improvement

Collaboration

This lab is open for commercial testing of food items and industrial collaborations. Customized research and development opportunities can be designed as per the specific needs of your company or product line.
